Camtasia is a powerful, yet approachable tool that is appropriate for both general information workers without a video background and video professionals. Camtasia can be used across an organization to create training videos, sales presentations, marketing videos and more, and is one of the easiest ways to produce video content. This class is appropriate for anyone who needs to create professional video content, especially if they don’t know where to start. Camtasia is a video creation tool that allows any individual to create engaging instructional content. Companies use Camtasia to spread knowledge and standardize processes throughout their workplace.
Many clients tell us that the best thing about Camtasia is that it allows their SME’s (that stands for Subject Matter Experts, i.e. non “video people”) to create engaging and professional content on their own. It’s perfect for HR departments looking to onboard new employees and any sort of HR or compliance training. If knowledge is leaving Students organization due to retirement, reassignment, cutbacks and so forth, Camtasia makes it easy to capture what they know…before they go.
Ledet Training’s Camtasia classes allow trainers and eLearning professionals to make their own videos, often saving tens of thousands of dollars in time and outsourcing fees. Academics and higher education professionals find that creating and using screencasts and videos in education results in higher student engagement levels and raising grades.
Forms processing professionals can easily create screencasts explaining exactly what information to put where, resulting in less questions and more correctly completed forms. While Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline are often used for eLearning as well, Camtasia is considered one of the most simple and engaging content creation tools for engaging video production. Often Camtasia is used as one of the tools in professional Adobe or Articulate eLearning workflows. Other video production tools such as Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects are generally considered to be considerably more complex and are most typically used by more experienced media creation professionals and full-time videographers. Camtasia is often the go-to product for general office workers to create video content to facilitate knowledge sharing, engaging audiences (both internal and external), and empowering employees.
This training is perfect for:
- Companies experiencing (or expecting) outward growth
- Companies with high turnover
- Trainers, especially those making internal and external eLearning content
- Educators, especially those who have online components in their classes
- Marketers, especially those who are leveraging social media
No prior experience with Camtasia is necessary, only an open mind a good attitude, and a willingness to learn. Any generally computer-literate user can attend this class.
Knowledge of your operating system and basic computer navigation is required for all classes, of course. This course will be tailored to those that attend, taking into consideration your individual skill level.
The TechSmith Camtasia software is not included with the course. The software can be ordered directly from TechSmith and a 30 day fully functional free trial is available.
